Dear YCS Families,

The May 2026 Nightly News Budget Newsletter has been delivered to homes in the York Central School District. 
The newsletter outlines the details of the proposed 2026-2027 $20,989,316 budget and provides information about the Board of Education election.
The York Central School District budget vote and election of school board members is Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Ivan F. Hilfiker auditorium foyer. 
The Budget Hearing and presentation takes place on Monday, May 11, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. School Board of Education candidates Kara Kane and Kirsty Northop will have a few moments to present about themselves at the meeting. 
We encourage you to read the May 2026 Knightly News to become an informed voter. 
Voter Qualifications:
🟪 A U.S. citizen
🟨 At least 18 years of age
🟪A legal resident of the York Central School District for at least 30 days before the election date
🟨 Identification required 
🟪 No prior registration is required
