The annual York Golden Knights football tradition was carried on in 2024!
Alumni and current football teammates participated in this year's turkey bowl held on the YCS stadium field.
Players say this tradition has happened for more years than anyone could count.
Way to go knights- keep those important traditions going!

Congratulations to the Elementary School's November Character Award Winners.

We are proud of you for exhibiting The Golden Knights Way!

You are a shining example of the Knight's Way!

Explore the Possibilities!
Explore the Possibilities is a new addition to the sixth grade curriculum, aiming to help students do just that - explore their own career possibilities.
Throughout the school year students will hear from special guests about their chosen career and what are the steps to achieving their career goals.
Local baker Pam Battaglia, owner of Decadent D-Lights Bakery, visited York Middle/High School recently to talk about how she became a baker. She offered this advice to the students: "First think about what you like to do."
Mrs. Battaglia explained that it is important to choose a career you genuinely enjoy. She loves to bake and it was evident in her smile when she talked with the students about some of the baked goods she enjoys making. Many of the students have tasted Mrs. Battaglia's baked goods at events that she caters in the York area.
Of course, she did not visit the classroom empty-handed. Mrs. Battaglia gave each student a chocolate-drizzled croissant.
Thank you to Pam Battaglia of Decadent D-Lights Bakery for speaking with the sixth graders.

Happy Thanksgiving to all from the Golden Knights Family.
We are thankful for our school and community.

It's just not Thanksgiving without a parade complete with fun balloons!
We present to you the York Elementary School Third Grade Thanksgiving Parade! (Our version of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade).

Abigail DeRuyter-Mrs. Shaffer's class
Alexandra Powell-Warner-Ms. Moulton's class
Carter Hayes-Mrs. Patanella's class
And the Parade Grand Champion is Evelyn Orman in Ms. Moutlon's class!

Even highly talented artists need a creative break once in a while!
On the Friday before Thanksgiving recess, Ms. Andrzejczak's AP Art students worked on a different kind of project; one that could be completed in one class.
Students created Rice Krispie turkeys - using their creativity to decorate them with common snack foods.
This was a creative and fun outlet for the students, Ms. A. said. When school resumes on December 2, students will return to learning and creating more complex artwork.

Let's talk turkey!
Junior Jaelyn Fanaro came into school on her recess day to serve donuts and coffee to the staff who faced a 12-hour day on Monday for parent-teacher conferences.
She is the President of the YCS Stand Up Club.
Jaelyn's cheerful smile infused the staff with energy for the day! The donuts and coffee may have helped, as well.
We are thankful for you, Jaelyn!
Drop a comment below and show her some gratitude!
Thank you Jaelyn
