Good luck to our York Knights Swim Team who is competing in sectionals today.
Go Knights!

Valentine games reinforce our math skills!
Once in awhile our fantastic teachers develop learning activities that appeal to our sweet tooth.
Valentine's Day is that day! Ms. Stewart and Mrs. Smith's students used conversation hearts for some of their morning activities. Mrs. Kent, their principal, joined in the activity - good job Mrs. Kent!
Would you be able to do your worksheet and not eat the candy?

With Valentine's Day just one day away, we want to share some sweetness! Photos from our Elementary School Sweetheart Dance that took place on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Many thanks to York Elementary PTO for hosting the dance.

Honoring Black History Month.
February is Black History month and we are honoring that by reading biographies of African Americans whose achievements have shaped our world.
High School students volunteered to read to elementary school students. They brought a few different books from the school library into the classrooms and the students chose which one they wanted to read.
The books told the stories of prominent African Americans such as Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. among others.
Thank you to our elementary school teachers for making time in their day for this important activity, and our high school students who took time from their day to read to the younger Knights.
Knights support one another!

To culminate our fantastic SEL(social, emotional learning) morning (more to come on that-stay tuned to FB!) on February 7, 2024, Mrs. Peet issued the middle/high school students and staff a challenge! Battle of the Beads required them to engage in face-to-face interactions! Yes, no texts, no emails, no snaps - just face-to-face communication involving a rock-paper-scissors competition. Today, the top bracket winners faced off! In the semi-final round, we saw the teams of Kylee and Sophia (Fei), and Gianna and Jake battle it out. Sophia and Jake were winners in that round and advanced to the finals. Let's give a round of applause for our final round winners Freshman Sophia (Fei) Burdick and in the staff category the winner is Mr. Dominic Chirico.
