Congratulations to Senior Grace Christiano on being selected to perform for the Rochester Area All State Festival . Seniors Adrienne Schroth and Indigo Freeman were selected as Area All State Alternates.
The three instrumentalists are students of Mr. Devin Vogel, YCS Middle/High School Instrumental and Music Theory teacher. Grace, Adrienne and Indigo auditioned against hundreds of students in multiple counties. To be selected to perform alongside the very best musicians from New York State High Schools is a huge honor - especially coming from a small school. YCS is one of three districts in the area to have a student receive this honor, and this is our second year in a row. The Rochester Area All State Festival performance will be at Rush Henrietta Central School on November 18, 2023, at 2 p.m.
Mrs. Dougal's sixth grade students are learning the elements of writing from developing their concept to writing the first draft, editing, and finally developing the final project.

A Senior Sunrise Event is scheduled for Sept. 7th from 6:40-7:15 in the back bus loop. Seniors will provide the music and lawn games. Asking Senior Families to consider donating breakfast items. See the link in the image to sign up.

A quick reminder that Wednesday, May 17th is an early release day with MHS students dismissed at 11:00am and Elementary students at 12:00pm.
Also Friday, May 26th there will be no school for students and staff.

ATTENTION: Due to field conditions, today's Varsity Baseball Game vs. Warsaw has been postponed. Varsity Boys Baseball will now play in Cal-Mum at 3:30.
Reminder: Tonight is the Livingston County Sheriff's Office vs. The York Staff Charity Basketball Game. Come support the YCS food pantry. The game will start at 7:00PM. There will be a halftime show and games with chances to win prizes! We will also be having a basket raffle. Come join the fun!
ATTENTION: Today's JV Baseball and Softball games scheduled for 4:30PM will now have a start time of 5:00PM. They will still be played here at YCS.
The YCS food pantry has 20 boxes of non perishable food items that can be donated to any families in need. This will be a first come first serve available for pick up this Friday (4/28). If you or a family you know would be interested, please email Dominic Chirico at dchirico@yorkcsd.org
Good Evening YCS Community! Please join us Friday, April 28th for the York Central School Staff vs. The Livingston County Sheriff's Office charity basketball game. There will be a basket raffle, concessions and opportunities to win prizes at half time. The game will start at 7:00pm and the cost $1.00 for students and $3.00 for adults. All proceeds will be donated to the YCS Food Pantry. We hope to see everyone there!
