The York Central Transportation Department has a fleet of 19 buses and employs 20 full and part-time drivers along with four full and part-time attendants.
We travel about 300,000 miles per year. This is a combination of our regular bus runs, day trips, and sports runs. We also have 4 parochial school and 7 special education runs.
The safety of our students is our utmost concern. With everyone's support, we can continue to safely transport our precious cargo to and from school.

Driving a school bus requires a special kind of person. It is one thing to be able to drive the bus, it is another thing to cope with weather, traffic and all those children on the bus that need to arrive safely at their destination.
If you like children, if you like to drive and if you like new challenges, please feel free to stop in at the Bus Garage for additional information and an application for employment. We look forward to seeing you.
