Seniors who are completing their Capstone projects in Mrs. Mike Barrett's class, have been meeting with seventh and eighth grade students to work on employability skills. These skills are often referred to as soft skills, and many human resource professionals say it is those skills that are desirable for employment.
Soft skills are required for successful teamwork and cooperation. They include problem solving, communication, adaptability, time management, etc.
The Seniors developed activities that would test the middle school students soft skills. They gave the middle school students scenarios that required them to use one or more of the soft skills.
The middle school students learned a lot from the Seniors about those important soft skills, and the Seniors learned a lot themselves about the same skills of communication, encouraging teamwork, and problem solving.

Today's JV Softball and Baseball, and Modified Softball games are postponed due to field conditions. Make up dates TBD.

May 8, 2024, is School Nurse Appreciation Day!
Mrs. Kingsley and Mrs. Norman provide the best care to our students everyday.
If everything that they provide to students, families, and staff in just one day was placed in a medical bag, it would be too heavy to carry!
We appreciate Mrs. Kingsley and Mrs. Norman!
