We are looking forward to another successful year working with students and families within our school community.
The Office of Curriculum and Instruction provides leadership, direction, and support to the district's academic programs. We coordinate and support curricula, instruction, and assessment practices for all preK-12 academic programs, always putting student learning first.
At YCS, we are committed to providing a learning environment that prepares students to succeed in college, career, and life in the 21st century. Our staff is working collaboratively to revise and implement our curriculum to align New York State Learning Standards.
We are working to ensure all students have a well-rounded educational experience that meets students where they are at. We believe in a growth mindset and that through dedication and hard work great things can be accomplished. This is evident when you walk through the halls of York Central School.
Staff have the opportunity to participate in a variety of professional development. York Central School offers all teachers instructional video coaching to continue to grow and develop their skills. Teachers new to our district are supported through our mentoring program.
